Prep Roundup 3/31: Beach Bash set to resume

Following a day of downpours and deluges, the Beach Bash is scheduled to pick back up today, albeit with a slightly altered schedule.
Today's baseball docket begins with Fort Walton Beach playing host to Jeffersontown at noon. Then, at 12:30 Somerset and Todd County meet at Niceville before the night ends at 6 p.m. with Niceville hosting Henry Clay, a contest that was originally scheduled for Tuesday night.
Choctawhatchee opens the day's softball slate at 2 p.m. when the Indians host Louisville Eastern then closes the day with a 6 p.m. contest against North Hardin.
Baseball
l Arnold 11, Rocky Bayou Christian 0: Justin Gallagher had the only two hits of the game for the Knights (5-6) in the Panama City Invitational game.
Arnold broke the game open with a six-run second inning.

Softball
l South Walton 6, Larue Co. (Ky.): Shelby Watson struck out 16 and Mackenzie Watson drove in a pair of runs as South Walton (13-4-1) blanked Larue County.
Caroline Peterson, Brittany Jay and Caitlin Carpenter each recorded two hits. South Walton hosts Pensacola Catholic on Friday.
