Austin Woodard went for a game-high 35 points as the Freeport boys’ basketball team bounced back from a difficult loss the night before with a 87-39 win over South Walton on Thursday in the 17th Annual Hilton Sandestin Beach Basketball Blowout.
Gabe Moore had 18 points for the Bulldogs (9-5). Collin Myrick finished with 16 points.
“I love these kids,” Bulldogs coach David Burke said. “They never quit.”
Edward Howard led the Seahawks with 15 points and Elisha Gundrum added 13.
Freeport will play Lake Shores (La.) today at 1:30 p.m. in the consolation final.

Spanish Fort (Ala.) 45, Glencoe 28: Jaleel Cousins led the Toros with 14 points as Spanish Fort (Ala.) pulled away in the second half for the win. Reagan Eubanks had nine points for Spanish Fort.

Chipley 64, Niceville 58: Kyle Koszuta led the Eagles with 19 points but a poor second quarter doomed Niceville. Mckinley Stephens had 10 points and both Shane Horton and Nicholas Haynes ended the night with nine points but an 11-3 run by Chipley in the second quarter proved to be the difference.
