Lauren Day had a team-high 22 points and two other Indians reached double figures scoring as the Choctawhatchee girls’ basketball team remained perfect in District 2-6A following a 63-29 win over Mosley on Thursday.
Brittany Brown had 11 points and Brittany West added 10 as Choctaw (10-1, 4-0) outscored Mosley 13-4 in the second quarter.
“They’ve bought into what we’ve been trying to do all summer long,” Indians coach Don Brown said. “It starts back at the end of summer, I’ve got nine kids and they’ve been with me all summer. It’s beginning to pay off right now.
“They’re going in a good direction. If we can continue what we’re doing right now, we ought to do pretty well.”
Caneisaya Matthews had eight points for Choctaw while Brittany Washington chipped in with six.

Walton 50, Arnold 47: Taliah Moore led the Braves with 20 points and Gillian Infinger added nine more as Walton fought off a valiant Arnold squad to improve to 10-2 on the season.
Trailing 35-28 entering the final quarter of play, Walton closed the game with a 22-12 run.

Choctawhatchee 59, Gulf Breeze 51: Jonathan Brassell had 15 points, Anthony Hawthorne had 13 points and Mikal Rodgers finished with 11 as the Indians improved to 5-1.

Fort Walton Beach 6, Rocky Bayou Christian 0: Rachel Simmons had a pair of goals and Stephanie Pridgen a pair of assists as the Vikings rolled past Rocky Bayou. Shelby Campbell, Brianna Oswald, Kelsie McGrail and Pridgen each had a goal apiece.
Kerri Andre also had an assist.
Rocky Bayou goal keeper Christy Serban had 21 saves for the Knights.
Fort Walton Beach (10-1-1) plays at Rocky Bayou (4-7-1) on Jan. 3.
Boys soccer
Navarre 4, Tate 0: Ryan Brazelton, David do Carmo, Brendan Robas and Jordan Supra each scored a goal as the Raiders (9-5, 5-4 District 1-4A) topped Tate. Kameron Bethel had two assists while Cody Gomez and Robas each had one.
Drew Conley had 13 saves in net.
Navarre hosts Fort Walton Beach today.
Niceville 4, Pace 1: Lucas Vandecar had a pair of goals as the Eagles (13-1) continued to roll, picking up a win at Pace.
Colton Savage and Cody Friesen each had an assist.
Niceville travels to Tampa on Tuesday for a match against Lakeland Christian.
