Kerby Named Gulf Breeze Head Coach
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Sharon Kerby played for one of the nation’s best women’s soccer program at West Florida from 2001-05. Now, she has the opportunity to coach one of the best women’s soccer teams in Florida.
On July 6, Kerby was announced as the girl’s soccer coach at Gulf Breeze High School.
Kerby will take over for fellow West Florida alumnus Eric Miles.
Miles, who helped lead Gulf Breeze to the Class 4A state runner-up finish earlier this year, accepted a position at the Community School of Naples (Fla.).
Kerby previously served as head coach of the Woodham High School girl’s soccer team during the 2005-06 season.
Kerby finished her career as one of the top goalkeepers in West Florida history. She is third all-time in school history with 28 wins and a career 0.96 goals against average.
Kerby is also fourth all-time with seven shutouts. She earned 2001 All-Gulf South Conference First Team honors after 15 wins in her freshman season.
